
MARU represents the new voice of Andean music — a female duo blending traditional sounds with modern rhythms. Established in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist Ruth Huamani and produced by Ricardo Silva.
The group features a five-piece rhythm section of drums, keyboards, bass, sikus (pan pipes and flutes), and charango (10-string indigenous Andean instrument).
